The close relationship between famed designer Terence Koh and Opening Ceremony evolves into the pair’s latest project, a three-way collaboration resulting in this Forfex Furry Moon Boot. The shoe is draped in layers of snow-white faux fur supported by a white crater outsole. The boot’s unorthodox and contemporary style incorporates a primitive modus with the use of white laces that wrap around the foot akin to moccasin bindings. Bathrooms are getting more and more luxurious with exclusive fitting coming to the market every other day. Suddenly we are seeing more extravagant luxury bathtubs. Tesla Ecclestone had recently unveiled their $1.5 million crystal bathtub which was truly unique. The one of its kind bathtub was made out of a mono block rock crystal. People had commented that you can’t possibly get more unusual and expensive than the crystal bathtub. But apparently they were wrong because we now have “Corcel N°1,” a full carbon fiber luxury bathtub from the Austrian manufacturer Corcel.
Corcel has positioned the tub as a heavenly body. The tub was developed with a team of highly skilled technical and artistic professionals. The process was long and time consuming, but the result is fascinating. The development process of the artistic No.1 bathtub lasted 7 months. The process started with pure carbon. There were people involved with the project who are highly skilled at handling pure carbon. The material was processed into fine fibers with a diameter of 0.003 to 0.005 mm. The bath tub is extremely durable because it is made from carbon fiber.
The Corcel tub could last generations as it is resistant to electricity, chemicals and harsh temperatures. The design on the tub has been carefully selected from among 24 concepts submitted by artists and designers. The surface coating on the tub is similar to what you find in luxury cars. Each tub is handcrafted with care and precision. Each tub will come with a certificate authenticating its exclusivity. It is limited edition production as only 51 pieces will be made and supplied all over the world. The price is expected to be on the higher side but the details are not available as yet.
LYNUS iPad 2 CASE FROM PHILIP LIM
There have been many iPad cases in the past and most have been either too chic or too glamorous to be taken outside out in the open. If you thought your iPad case wasn’t luxurious enough and yet wanted something les gaudy and pretentious, you could take a look at the Lynus iPad 2 case from Philip Lim. It looks goods, comes in great colours and even feels great to touch. The product designing is done so well that it almost feels like the iPad was designed for it. It comes in dyed rabbit hair and a lambskin lining which protects your iPad from all those thrusts and pushes.
The zip makes sure that your iPad does not fall out of your pocket and is where it is supposed to be. It is a great way to make sure that you have the best carry case for your iPad and also make sure that nothing ever gets lost. If you still do not have an iPad, you should probably take a good look at it and make sure that you would go ahead and get yourself what needs to be done. The iPad case itself costs $750, which is almost as expensive as the iPad itself.
It comes in blue, black, and Absinthe and is a great way to tell your friends what your favourite gadget it. It is all about luxury and fashion when it comes to designing the iPad cases, but the iPad itself is a technologically advanced machine. Moreover, an iPad 3 might be in line. You could also take a look at the iPad 2 case which we had written about sometime back.
